Note that if you purchase your tickets on-site, you'll incur a $2 surcharge per ticket. on Wednesdays and the first Friday of each month from 5 to 9 p.m. You can see the collection for free between 3 and 9 p.m. If purchased in advance online, general admission costs $23 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6 to 17 discounts are available for seniors and students. The museum welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. The Phoenix Art Museum sits several blocks south of the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix. If you'd like a little guidance navigating the museum's collection, consider signing up for one of its docent-led public tours, which are offered every day that the museum is open. Those without a taste for modern art may not enjoy their visit as much despite its diverse collections, expect to see a lot of more recent artworks.
